Fellowships

The Cal Performances fellowship program provides valuable experience and skill building opportunities to individuals interested in pursuing or enhancing a career in arts administration. Under the direction of a staff mentor, fellows will work both independently and as part of a team, with a concentration in one particular department. Work assignments are developed to allow fellows to contribute in meaningful ways while gaining valuable insight into the various operations of the organization.

Cal Performances seeks applicants who have experience within the performing arts industry and who are seeking to expand and develop their skills for a successful career in arts administration. The fellowship program aims to assist individuals in transitioning from their current professional roles into the world of presenting arts professionals.

We have no open positions at this time.

Internships

The Cal Performances internship program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain valuable practical experience and job skills in preparation for a career in arts administration. Interns will learn about the various departments and expertise that comprise a performing arts organization, and will support our work of presenting world renowned artists in one of the nation's most artistically diverse performing arts presenters. During their participation in the program, interns will work with a staff mentor on projects specific to their areas of interest. Because our work is collaborative, the intern will also work with many other staff members and build upon their overall understanding of our operations as well as build upon their professional network.

Cal Performances seeks applicants who have a strong interest and education in the performing arts, particularly in dance, theater and/or music. Successful applicants should possess the desire to promote an appreciation for the performing arts, as well as the skills listed on the internship description for which they are applying.

There are no intern positions currently open with Cal Performances. Please check back.
