Overview

Davitt Moroney combines graceful artistry with impeccable technique and the highest intellectual standards. An early-music scholar of distinction and accomplishment, Moroney—a professor of music at UC Berkeley—has released over 50 discs of keyboard music of the 16th through 18th centuries, winning several Gramophone Awards and France's Grand Prix du Disque de l'Académie Charles Cros. Here, he takes listeners on a marathon musical journey, performing the complete set of Bach's timeless French Suites, BWV 812–17—a unique opportunity to hear all of this magnificent music in one sitting.
