Overview

The preeminent period-instrument quartet performing today, Quatuor Mosaïques has won acclaim for its use of traditional gut-stringed instruments, which—in combination with their celebrated musicianship—has cultivated the group's signature full-bodied, sonorous, and captivating sound. The ensemble's great accomplishment is not only in expressing "authenticity" but in creating work that is a living link to the great European quartet tradition.
