Artistic director of Ballett Frankfurt for over 20 years, choreographer William Forsythe is one of the most respected figures in dance, renowned for combining choreographic invention with a distinct theatrical vision. His newly founded ensemble makes its West Coast debut in the American premiere of Forsythe's Three Atmospheric Studies, a work employing superb dancing and personal narrative for a stark look at the physicality of war. "This is Forsythe at his best," says The Age, Australia.
