An icon on the American cultural scene, trumpeter
Wynton Marsalis' finest instrument is his
internationally acclaimed Jazz at Lincoln Center
Orchestra, "the greatest large jazz ensemble
working today," says the Chicago Tribune. The
program, titled Ellington Love Songs, will feature
love songs written and made famous by one of the
most significant musicians and composers in
American history, Duke Ellington, other works by
jazz luminaries, and new and original music by the
members of the Orchestra.
This performance is made possible, in part, through the generosity of Sherry and Joseph Felson.
