The multifaceted career of cellist Yo-Yo Ma is testament to his exploration of music as a means of communication, personal renewal and transformation, and artistic growth. Whether performing a new concerto, revisiting a familiar work from the cello repertoire in recital, collaborating with colleagues in chamber music, or exploring musical forms outside of the Western classical tradition, Ma succeeds like no other musician in forging connections that stimulate the imagination and warm the heart.
