Special pricing for young audiences: ages 16 and under are half-price for all performances!
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of its first
U.S. appearances, this legendary dance company
comes to Zellerbach Hall on a tour now dedicated
to the memory of their extraordinary founder,
Igor Moiseyev, who died recently in Moscow at the
amazing age of 101. Renowned for its technical
brilliance and exuberant evocations of traditional
dances from around the world, the 70-year-old
ensemble remains acclaimed as the greatest of all
folk dance groups. "Moiseyev's genius for distilling
the essence of folk material and theatricalizing it
on a spectacular scale remains as revelatory as
ever," says Anna Kisselgoff of the New York Times.
Parking Alerts: Parking may be a problem on campus for the Sat, Feb 9, performance due to a Cal Basketball game. Please see our Parking Alert section for more information.
