Don't miss this glittering start to Cal Performances' 2008/09 season! Angela Gheorghiu made her international debut at Covent Garden in 1992 and two years later overwhelmed audiences as Violetta in a new production of La Traviata, conducted by Sir Georg Solti ("I was in tears," said the maestro. "She can do anything."). Since then, she has ruled the stages of the world's great opera houses. A fiery and intense stage actress, Gheorghiu has particular affinity for the music of Verdi and Puccini, and her sensuous lyric soprano and dazzling stage presence have established her as a commanding international opera star.

Note: Limit of four tickets per person or household.
